4. A 18 year old medical student who has just taken part in the Hyde Park Triathlon presents with a fever, myalgia and jaundice. An electron micrograph reveals spiral, motile organisms.
5. An 30 year old cheese lover has an aggressive fever and headache. Her family and friends claim she has been acting rather strangely over the last few days. She is prescribed high dose ampicillin on admission.
